01 · The foundation
One AI demand forecast for your entire facility.
D-Nine considers more than individual loads or the PV system. It forecasts the total future energy demand of your facility for the following day, including the expected load profile over time.
Total facility consumption
Using recorded operating patterns and load behavior, the AI forecasts when your facility is likely to need electrical energy the next day and how much it will need.
PV generation forecast
Weather forecasts and information about on-site generation provide a separate estimate of available PV power and energy output.
Electricity price forecast
Forecast wholesale electricity prices and contractual supply terms are taken into account when planning cost-effective periods for drawing power from the grid.
In the next step, these forecasts are combined with your facility’s technical constraints to create an optimal energy plan.
02 · From forecast to plan
The optimal energy and battery schedule for tomorrow.
D-Nine uses predicted total demand, expected PV generation and electricity prices to develop a coordinated, cost-effective control strategy. Calculating the required battery charge level in advance is a key part of this process.
Forecasts
Total demand, PV, weather and electricity prices
AI optimization
Assess grid purchases, storage reserves and peak demand together
Control schedule
Planned charging, discharging and switching operations for the following day
Plan battery charge levels ahead of time
The optimization determines the appropriate storage level at each point in time, for example to cover an expected demand peak or bridge periods of expensive grid electricity.
Charge and discharge storage strategically
Surplus PV energy and cost-effective grid purchasing periods are taken into account when planning charging. Storage is used to improve overall cost-effectiveness rather than simply maximize the self-consumption ratio.
Coordinate loads and grid electricity purchases
Controllable loads are coordinated over time within the limits permitted by your operations. The plan accounts for power limits, energy requirements and equipment availability.
03 · Economic benefits
Three optimization goals. One coordinated decision.
Peak demand reduction, self-consumption and electricity procurement are considered together. D-Nine accounts for their interactions in a coordinated plan.
Reduce peak demand
Forward-looking storage and load control can reduce peaks that affect demand charges while taking essential operating processes into account.
Optimize self-consumption
Expected PV energy should be used as cost-effectively as possible, directly in your facility, to charge storage or with alternative uses taken into consideration.
Purchase grid electricity at lower cost
Where your supply contract and metering equipment allow you to benefit from time-varying prices, D-Nine plans grid purchases to favor lower-cost periods.
Example: A possible 24-hour schedule
Early morning
Use a low-price period and prepare the battery if needed.
Midday
Coordinate expected PV generation with forecast facility demand.
Afternoon
Plan reserves for possible demand peaks and coordinate loads.
Evening
Use stored energy as needed during high-price periods.
Schematic illustration, not an actual customer schedule. Actual control depends on factors including the load profile, PV forecast, tariff, storage characteristics, grid connection and operating limits.
04 · Cloud and local technology
AI plans in the cloud. dibalog controls on site.
The key difference from a platform that only analyzes data: the strategy does more than provide recommendations. Local dibalog systems automatically implement approved optimization targets for connected loads and battery storage.
Forward-looking cloud optimization
The AI processes operational, forecast and energy data to calculate an energy-efficient and cost-effective control schedule.
Automatic local execution
dibalog controllers carry out the planned switching operations and power adjustments within defined technical and operating limits.
Industrial requirements take priority.
Implementation takes place within the specified operating limits. Local protection functions, permitted charging and discharging power, grid connection limits and production-related permissions must be taken into account. The specific arrangements for resilience, fallback operation and data connectivity must be defined for each project.
05 · For industry and commerce
More predictable planning. Fewer manual interventions.
D-Nine combines dibalog’s established experience in industrial load control with an additional layer of forward-looking optimization.
Your benefits at a glance
A view of the following day’s expected energy demand, coordinated use of PV and storage, targeted grid electricity purchases and automatic execution of a shared control schedule.
For demanding energy systems
Particularly relevant for facilities with significant demand peaks, controllable production loads, on-site PV generation, battery storage or opportunities to purchase electricity at time-varying prices.
